    When fitting in creates more friction than calm

    The most powerful tool to avoid or minimise conflict

    Anyone who has experienced trauma, or anyone who is human, will have periods of overwhelm, stress and burnout.     183. Why you fixate on what's not right: and how not to spiral

    We fixate on what’s not right because our brains love to fix problems. It can also be a trauma response. In this episode I chat through why you fixate on problems and what I used to do. Here are some things you can do to ensure you don’t spiral… Focus on what’s in your control. As I said. You might write a list of what you’re going to do. Have a plan - and if it’s anything outside of that, do your darndest to let it go Focus on what is good. What is working in your life? What are the positives? What brings you joy? The simple things - and do more of that. Spend time getting out of your head. Journal or speak it out loud.     If you have experienced trauma, you will continue to be triggered for different reasons throughout your life.     164. Is your trauma sabotaging you?

    Capacity is the maximum amount that something can contain.When I’m talking about our personal capacity, it includes, mental, physical, emotional and spiritual. This episode is about bringing to light how much capacity you do actually have and what is realistic for you. Stocktake on your current capacity: What time do you have for you (outside of necessary commitments)? What are your energy levels like?What are your non negotiables?What is most important to you?
