So many women feel off… but don’t know why.In this episode, host Kelsey sits down with Dr. Paige Gutheil—osteopathic family physician and certified menopause practitioner—to break down what’s actually happening in the body during perimenopause and why so many women feel dismissed, confused, or just not like themselves. They talk through the early signs most women overlook, how hormone shifts impact energy, metabolism, and body composition, and why it’s not “just part of getting older.” Dr. Paige also dives into the role of strength training, nutrition, sleep, and stress, and how all of it plays a bigger role than people think. They unpack hormone replacement therapy, clear up common misconceptions, and explain what a proactive, empowered approach to this stage of life can actually look like—before things feel out of control. This episode is about understanding your body, asking better questions, and not settling for feeling “sick and tired” as normal. To connect with Kelsey: -Join the One Degree Newsletter: https://xpandyourlimit.com/theonedegree-Follow Kelsey on socials: @kelseylensmanVisit Xpand Your Limits:-Join events and coaching at xpandyourlimit.com-Follow XYL on socials @xpandyourlimits-Follow Seek the Edge Podcast on socials @seektheedgepodTo connect with Dr. Paige :-Instagram: @dr.paige.do + @goza.wellnessWebsite: https://www.gozawellness.com

61. The Key to Better Recovery
This episode is your reminder that more isn’t always better. After a weekend of women stepping outside their comfort zones and choosing growth, Kelsey breaks down something that often gets overlooked in the pursuit of “doing more” — recovery.Because the truth is, your body doesn’t differentiate between stress. Training, work, relationships, lack of sleep… it all stacks. And when that stress outweighs your ability to recover, that’s where things start to fall apart. In this episode, Kelsey walks through the stress + recovery equation and why growth only happens when both are in balance. She shares her own wake-up moments, from pushing too hard to dealing with hormonal issues, and how that shifted the way she approaches training, health, and life. You’ll also learn the five pillars of recovery — sleep, nutrition, nervous system regulation, active recovery, and mental/emotional recovery — and how to actually apply them in your day-to-day routine. This isn’t about doing less. It’s about doing better. If you’ve been stuck in the mindset of “push harder, do more,” this episode will challenge that — and show you how to train, live, and grow in a way that actually lasts. To connect with Kelsey: -Join the One Degree Newsletter: https://xpandyourlimit.com/theonedegree-Follow Kelsey on socials: @kelseylensmanVisit Xpand Your Limits:-Join events and coaching at xpandyourlimit.com-Follow XYL on socials @xpandyourlimits-Follow Seek the Edge Podcast on socials @seektheedgepod

60. I'm Writing a Book
This episode is all about what it actually looks like to step into something uncomfortable—and follow through on it.Kelsey shares the behind-the-scenes of her misogi this year: writing and releasing a book. Not just starting it, but committing to the process, showing up consistently, and putting something out into the world that people will see, read, and judge. After years of having the outline, the ideas, and the vision sitting there, she’s finally stepping into it. This episode breaks down what that process really looks like—from messy first drafts, to building momentum, to navigating the discomfort of being fully seen. She also talks about the idea of a “misogi”—doing one intentionally hard thing each year—and how this challenge is pushing her in a completely different way than anything physical ever has. This episode also dives into fear, hesitation, and why so many people never act on what they know they’re meant to do. Not because they can’t—but because they don’t.If you’ve been sitting on an idea, a goal, or something you know you should go after… this is your reminder.Growth doesn’t come from staying where you’re comfortable. It comes from stepping into the unknown and figuring it out as you go.To connect with Kelsey: -Join the One Degree Newsletter: https://xpandyourlimit.com/theonedegree-Follow Kelsey on socials: @kelseylensmanVisit Xpand Your Limits:-Join events and coaching at xpandyourlimit.com-Follow XYL on socials @xpandyourlimits-Follow Seek the Edge Podcast on socials @seektheedgepod

58. Why Women Stay Stuck Underfueling - Reverse Dieting 101
This episode is for anyone who feels stuck, exhausted, or like nothing is working no matter how little they eat.Kelsey breaks down what reverse dieting actually is, why so many women are unknowingly under-fueling, and how that’s holding them back from seeing real progress. We talk about the mental side of it too—the fear of eating more, the “less is better” mindset, and why that way of thinking can actually be the thing keeping you stuck. You’ll learn how reverse dieting helps rebuild your metabolism, improve energy, regulate hormones, and change your body composition in a way that actually lasts. We also get into what this process actually looks like—how to start, what to expect, and common mistakes like increasing calories too fast or relying only on the scale instead of real progress markers. This isn’t a quick fix. It’s a strategic process that requires patience, trust, and learning to work with your body instead of against it.If you’ve ever felt frustrated with your progress, scared to eat more, or stuck in the cycle of constantly cutting… this episode will change the way you think about it.@[email protected]

56. Stop Negotiating with Yourself
This morning I caught myself negotiating. Not with someone else… but with myself. You know the voice."Skip the workout.""Do it tomorrow.""It’s not that big of a deal."In this episode, I break down what it means to negotiate with yourself, why it slowly destroys self-trust, and how those small daily negotiations quietly shape your identity.Because here’s the truth:Self-trust is self-confidence.Every promise you keep to yourself strengthens it.Every promise you break weakens it.This conversation dives into:• The story from this morning that sparked this reflection• What negotiating with yourself actually looks like in real life• Why breaking small promises erodes your confidence over time• How to rebuild self-trust when you fall short• Why the real goal each day is simple: go to bed proudAnd if you do break a promise to yourself?Don’t spiral.Use it as data.Ask: Why did that happen?Adjust. And show up a little better tomorrow. That’s how self-belief is built. One promise at a time.🎧 Subscribe to Seek the Edgehttps://open.spotify.com/show/2J7qlzsAX8rRQSMnzgQ0hU?si=ad1795fc451949ed📝 Join the One Degree Newsletter[https://xpandyourlimit.com/theonedegree💪 Train with the Xpand Your Limits Communityhttps://xpandyourlimit.com📱 Follow KelseyInstagram: @kelseylensman

47. My Biggest Mistakes in 2025 (And What They Taught Me)
In this transparent follow-up to last week’s episode, Kelsey pulls back the curtain and walks through the five biggest mistakes she made while building Xpand Your Limits in 2025. This year included huge wins — events across the country, a growing ambassador program, HYROX competitions, and a rapidly expanding community — but none of it happened without pressure points, missteps, and moments of refinement. In this episode, she opens up about:• Overcommitting to the point of dropped balls and inconsistent follow-through• Avoiding the hard conversations and learning why clarity really is kindness• Trying to do everything alone instead of allowing others to support and contribute• Neglecting her own health while pouring into everyone else• Underestimating the power of prayer and seeing God move clearly when she finally surrenderedThese aren’t polished highlight-reel moments — they’re the real, gritty, human parts of building a mission-driven movement. And every mistake came with a lesson that reshaped how Kelsey is leading, planning, and showing up heading into 2026.If you’re a leader, a builder, or someone trying to step into your calling while balancing your capacity, this episode will speak directly to you.CONNECT WITH KELSEY & XPAND YOUR LIMITS✨ Instagram: https://instagram.com/kelseylensman✨ XYL Instagram: https://instagram.com/xpandyourlimits✨ Website / Events / Programs: https://xpandyourlimit.com✨ Seek the Edge Podcast Updates: https://instagram.com/seektheedgepodcast

42. All-In, Not All-Consumed // Seek the Edge Podcast with Kelsey Lensman
All-in isn’t obsession—it’s a clear, disciplined commitment to a mission or season, protected by boundaries and aligned to long-term purpose. You contrast “all-in” with being “all-consumed,” then use the glass-balls vs. rubber-balls analogy to help listeners name their 2–3 true priorities, accept the real costs (comfort, ego, control), and see the bigger cost of staying the same. From a faith lens, you frame obedience and surrender as the path to delayed—but richer—blessing. Practically, you challenge listeners to expose half-commitments, choose what to prioritize and what to sacrifice this season, and build simple structures (habits, plans, accountability) to go deeper, not wider—the anchor: playing small costs more than going all-in.

41. Courage over Comfort // Seek the Edge Podcast with Kelsey Lensman
In this episode, Kelsey reframes “fearless” as a myth and “courage” as the real path to growth. She introduces the Courage Bridge—moving from where you are to where you’re called—backed by data from The Comfort Crisis (we spend ~93% of life indoors, sit 6.5+ hours/day, and only ~20% of adults meet activity guidelines), linking chronic comfort to lower resilience and poorer mental health. From a faith lens (Joshua 1:9), courage is trust-filled action: fear may ride in the back seat, but it doesn’t drive. Kelsey explains confidence loops—how small, repeated acts of courage build belief—and offers practicals: make micro-decisions (train when you don’t want to), engineer a stretching environment, and anchor to God when you don’t feel ready. You’ll close by identifying one area you’ve been choosing comfort and committing to a 1% courageous step—because limits are meant to be tested, not accepted.

In this episode, Kelsey explores why embracing challenges is crucial for personal growth and fulfillment. 14. Next Competition, New XYL Updates, Current Reads
n this episode, I’m diving into some exciting updates about my recovery from the 100-mile race, a new fitness challenge I’m gearing up for, and some awesome upcoming XYL events. I’ll also share what I’m reading and the key lesson I’ve learned this past month. I start off by talking about my recovery from the 100, how it humbled me as I eased back into training, and the transition I’m making toward a new fitness goal: competing in my first-ever HYROX event in Washington D.C. on March 30th. If you're curious about what HYROX is and how it’s different from endurance races like the 100-miler, I’ll break it down for you. My training split, nutrition, and recovery are all key parts of this new challenge. Next, I share some exciting updates from XYL (Xpand Your Limits). We’ve launched the first half of our events for this year, including Operation SEAL, an all-women’s strength event, and a resilience event with NFL player and breathwork expert, all designed to challenge women outside of their comfort zones. We also have an exclusive hiking trip planned to summit Algonquin Peak in New York and more! Plus, we’re working on a training app to help you prepare for all these challenges. In the spirit of growth, I talk about a book recommendation and the value I’m hoping to offer through this podcast—whether it’s training, mindset, or just good conversations to help you step outside your comfort zone. I’m also introducing guest interviews in the coming episodes with people who are living the mission of expanding their limits. Finally, I share one important lesson I’ve learned this month: If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. None of this would be possible without the people in my life and the grace of God. It’s a reminder that we’re not meant to do life alone. Thanks for tuning in, and I can’t wait to share more with you in the coming episodes! Feel free to reach out on Instagram @kelseylensman with your thoughts or suggestions for guests you'd like to hear from. Let’s keep expanding our limits together!
