Sing Hymns and Drink Beer w/ Jonathan Parker

“How many years are you going to wait until you give yourself permission to do what you know you need to be doing?” This ONE question changed Jonathan's life. At age 30, he lived in a world where he thought everyone else had a problem, but not him. We go into his mission of learning the art of conversation, hymns and beer, marriage and relationship tips, and of course some good ole classic inspiration!  CHALLENGE: this week’s challenge is inspired by Jonathan: ask your partner, friends, family, employees and/or boss what you’re amazing at and where you can improve. This tells you what to keep doing more of because you’re amazing at it. It also tells you what you need to stop doing because you’re not so great at it. Do more of what you’re great at. Unless you want to be great at what you’re not great at, then of course do that. Like me with rapping to people in the streets at 19 years old and Jonathan learning to listen and have a conversation at age 30. Find more on Jonathan here: https://www.thejonathanrparker.com/

Identify and Reframe Your Money Story w/ Adrian Ellison

Do you avoid looking at your bank account? Do you feel guilty for spending money? Do you have a hard time letting a friend pay for you? Are you dishonest about your financial situation? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this episode is a must for you. We ALL have a money story so really this episode it for everyone. This is the audio from one of our membership group calls. I wanted to give you a real look into it since a lot of you aren’t in it. You’ll hear us talk about polls and questions that people chat in. You can’t see that obviously because this is just the audio. This was an eye opener for me, especially when she talks about our feelings and energy around spending money. A lot of us have a misguided relationship with spending money. My wonderful friend Adrian @adrianellison tells us her money story that she grew up with. How she would manipulate her lovers and friends. How she had an extremely difficult time being honest with money. How she has improved and is cleaning up this narrative. Money is energy and how we can create as much as we want. Adrian gives us real tools to use to identify our money story and how to reframe it for our benefit. CHALLENGE: Clean up your money energy by consciously reviewing your bank statement and card transactions. Scroll through and take note of the energy you feel when you see each line. Do you remember that moment? If you don’t then it’s best to not spend money there anymore. If you do remember, how do you feel? Does it feel awesome? Cool, keep creating that energy. If it doesn’t feel awesome, stop creating that energy, which means stop spending money in that environment. If you liked this conversation, join the membership by clicking this link: https://www.goalinkgroup.com/membership It’s like a podcast on steroids because you get to converse with us and get 1-on-1 coaching for an amazing price in a group setting.

Listen and Be Curious w/ Michael Jang (MJ)

Let's. Get. Curious. There's no better human to get curious with than my guy MJ. This dude’s awareness is on another level. He’s a great listener with a unique upbringing and has a cool perspective that he’s sharing for the first time on a podcast. He grew up with four families and four different cultures that have given him a curiosity about life. He is an extremely talented videographer who stopped pursuing money to focus on experiences. CHALLENGE: this week's challenge is inspired by MJ: we want you to stop trying so hard. That's right, stop trying so hard. Take a breath and allow yourself to feel. Allow ourselves to receive what's good. Take a look around and appreciate what we have. Press pause on the hustle and contemplate the ease of life. This might be hard (hence this being a challenge) because we've been culturally trained to go, go, go and want more, more, more. Could life be easier than we are making it to be? Are we perpetuating the struggle necessarily? Follow Goalink: @goalinkgroupFollow MJ: @mj.movAttend the Goalink retreat: https://www.thealpasproject.com/goalink

Change Your Mind w/ Aaron Simmons, Ph.D.

JOIN OUR MEMBERSHIP: https://www.goalinkgroup.com/membership-1-063979b3-04c6-4cf6-8724-8ff69e642882 Welcome Dr. Aaron Simmons, professor of philosophy at Furman University. He’s written 9 books and in addition to his intellectual prowess, he is a loving father, husband, and of course loves to go deep into conversation. He also loves hip-hop which gains major points from me. We start the conversation off by recalling how many churches he’s been kicked out of (or politely asked to leave). We discuss God and politics with an angle you’re probably not used to. We go in to the importance of disagreement, willing to be proved wrong, and why to surround yourself with critics. Put question marks where others put periods. What is the failure of success? Aaron tell us. No black and white answers here, folks. Just lots of nuance, which is what life is about. Connect with Aaron on LinkedIn or email him. https://www.linkedin.com/in/aaron-simmons-ph-d-98109b36/ [email protected] CHALLENGE: Inspired by Dr. Simmons: seek out a conversation with someone who disagrees with you. This is not an attempt to convince them to change their viewpoint or argue. Come into the conversation with an open mind and ask them to share why they believe what they believe. Ask questions, don’t spit out supposed or actual facts to counter their point. Listen to the why behind their beliefs. What was their upbringing like? What has shaped their view? Once you ask questions and listen, you’ll probably understand why they think the way they do. After this, you may of course share your opinion if it’s appropriate. And who knows, you could change someone’s mind like Aaron has by first listening and asking questions, then offering your point of view.

Live Your Dreams Out Loud w/ BJ The Dreamer

This is most definitely the best way we’ve kicked off an interview… with a rap! Welcome Brian D. Johnson aka "BJ The Dreamer" to the show. Author, inspirational figure, Emmy award winner, and most importantly an all around good dude. He's been on the verge of suicide, slept in his car with no place to go, and spent a lot of time in a negative place blacking out drunk. He moved out west with $300 in his pocket and a dream to turn his life around. He breaks down some of his life lessons including what he's learned from working with major celebrities like Will Smith and Snoop Dogg. Click here to buy his book CHALLENGE: This week's challenge is inspired by Brian and his book: live your dreams OUT LOUD! Yell your deepest desire and/or dream from a balcony, rooftop, or in the street. Even if you need to take baby steps, that's ok too. Write it in your journal, whisper it to yourself, then to yell it out loud alone in your car. Whatever you need to do, let's live our dream out loud! The post of the exercise is to claim and manifest your desire into existence. If you can't claim it for yourself, how do you expect to make it a real thing? Creating Abundance w/ Emily Gallagher

Have you ever wondered why some people are magnetic? How everything seems to work out for them? You get your answer this week with Emily Gallagher. She's a SERIOUS creator of abundance. She cultivates this mindset daily. It's easy to get in a game of comparison, but please remember how much practice such inspirational figures have. Anyone can create a life of abundance! And of course... no one's life is perfect. CHALLENGE: This week’s challenge is inspired by Emily: practice an abundant money mindset. Money and wealth is about resourcefulness & value. Realizing we are able to generate value and uplevel our resourcefulNESS, enhances our ability to generate money. Exercise: Brainstorm 10 ways you could make money right now. Don’t limit yourself, see that you are able to generate value & income from places you haven’t originally seen. I.e- get a roommate, up my prices, ask for a raise, create an offering, drive Uber etc. This is about seeing that income and money is all around you. It is not that you need to go and do those things, but switching the mindset from “I can’t “, to “I choose not to” is a powerful shift in itself. They key is to LOOK for the abundance. This will shift your perspective to find the infinite possibilities around you.   Click here to join the Goalink Membership! If you want to join our weekly conversations discussing how to face fear and uncertainty, attracting love into your life, knowing your worth, how to deal with negative thoughts, and more. Dr. Bo REALLY Knows

It's ok to not have things figured out. It's ok to not know what your "passion" is during college or any time in life really. These things take time to evolve and be created.   Dr. Bo Cicak didn't find chiropractic until he was 25 and he has plans beyond how he is currently practicing. This dude is a dreamer, but also believes in the growth process of planting seeds.   We dive into some health related topics such as stretching, alcohol consumption, and the effects of poor posture, but I really like how Bo keeps it real about his journey. And that's what we're all about... the process!   CHALLENGE: This week's challenge is inspired by Dr. Bo: correct your posture during phone usage. Don't wreck your neck, check your neck! Looking down at your phone has negative effects on your neck, shoulders, and spine.   Don't look down at your phone, but look out toward your phone. Hold your phone out in front of you, not below you.

    Claire Spencer and IamWATRRR

This is just a really dope conversation. A discussion full of meaning. It's not so much an interview as it is a conversation. Claire and I open up to what we are working on and the challenges associated with them.   There are A LOT of good nuggets in here, including but not limited to: - The challenge of being direct and vulnerable with family and lovers. - Why triggers and trauma are a blessing. - Why we create problems or anxiety because we’re addicted to the feeling. - Understanding the reason our brain’s are pattern making machines and live subconsciously 95% of the time. It’s both beneficial and damaging. - Living and growing through codependent relationships. - Doing personal work is painful! It sucks sometimes and can actually make your life harder. But… why we think it’s necessary. - How challenges are an opportunity for creative expression.   CHALLENGE: This week’s challenge is inspired by @iamwatrrr: each time you take a drink (water preferably), say one positive self affirmation. I am enough, I am powerful, I am loving, I am worthy of all that is coming my way, I am already successful, I am the light. Those are some examples.   Use the time you take a sip of a beverage, to remind yourself what you are and what you are becoming. You can take a sharpie and write it on your bottle. So each time you take a swig, you see that positive affirmation. The more you see it, the more you feel it. <div class="jwLWP _2hXa7 _1dPe8 blog-post-text-font...

Jeremy McGrew and Indy Fitness Mag

Cofounder of Indy Fitness Magazine, Jeremy McGrew is on a mission to go from last to first. A few years ago, Indianapolis was ranked the unhealthiest major city in America. He and his tribe have a goal to go from the least healthy city in the nation to #1 in the next 10 years.   This dude is an unapologetic hustler with a great business mind. We talk about his “failures” and lessons learned along the way. Why in the world does he practice one sleepless night a week? Yes, he literally has a designated night for not sleeping.   Beyond the hustle, he praises how pivotal his wife has been in his journey. And how he has learned to ask for help. Let’s dive in!   CHALLENGE: This week’s challenge is inspired by @indyfitnessmag: pick the most essential task each day and accomplish it. JUST ONE. No more than that.   Ask yourself this question: what’s the one thing that will make my job, relationship, health etc. easier and possibly everything else unnecessary?   For your business, it could be having that one conversation with your boss, team member, or client that would make everything else that day easier or unnecessary. For your relationship, it could be spending 10 undistracted minutes with them in the morning or first thing after work. Therefore, making your relationship easier and more fulfilling that day. For your health, it could be drinking a gallon of water a day which makes everything else about your health choices easier or unnecessary for the day.   This concept is inspired from Gary Keller’s book <a...

Thadeus Starsiak: Be the Love That Heals Wounds

At only 12 years old, he found his dead mother in the basement. Cold, blue, and stiff. She died from a drug addiction. On the phone with his dad, he told the young boy to "shake and wake" her. To say that shaking your dead mother at age 12 changes you is an understatement.   With so much hardship in his life, Thadeus Starsiak is one of the most loving people I have ever met. It would be easy for him to give up or say the world is an evil place. To the absolute contrary, he is a pillar of light sending sonar waves of love to each person along his path. Thadeus is an outstanding human.   He is a personality on HGTV’s “Good Bones” television show. Goofy and carefree on screen, deeply emotional and intellectual in real life.   We talk about love - all definitions and forms it comes in. How to love others and how to love ourselves. How to lovingly approach confrontation and have difficult conversations with those we care about. This conversation is rich with meaning and substance.   I encourage you to share this episode with a loved one.   CHALLENGE: Treat everyone as someone you love deeply. Carry intent with each interaction. Listen intently. Care deeply. Whether it's a parent, sibling, partner, close friend, estranged lover, or a new connection, care for them deeply. Empathize, get excited to see them, forgive, and open up.   Just for this week, turn your love meter to the maximum frequency with every person you interact with. Picture sending invisible waves of love into them. Strangers, enemies, and all. You don't even have to come in contact with them to try it. Meditate and think about sending someone love....

After years of trying to be a character that other people would like, Jon has evolved into a person he loves. Listen in to the adventures and life lessons of Jon Goodfellow.   Hear why he compares his dating life to cooking pancakes, going in a sweat lodge, how he manifested his partner, and quitting his job to live in a van with his dog.   Have you changed directions so many times that you don't know who you are? Do you feel insecure because you keep trying out different versions of yourself and don't where you fit?   Jon will tell you why it's ok to change. Experiment with your life!   CHALLENGE: This week’s challenge is inspired by RealifeChange, a life journaling app: journal once a day (no length requirement). Dr. Jordan Burns and Nuun

Get ready to fall in love with Dr. Jordan Burns, Indianapolis chiropractor and a dude who just wants you to be happy. Jordan thinks it's cool to be kind and is on a mission to align your spine AND mind. One of my favorite portions of the conversation is when he talks about his dad having a heart attack being a GOOD thing. It's not that he wanted it to happen, but it was the catalyst to his emotional growth. He visited a therapist for the first time and learned the power of sharing his feelings. We can turn a tragedy into our triumph.   After multiple visits to the hospital and a traditional doctor's office, a girl who couldn't walk without assistance, came into Jordan's chiro office. After working with her twice a day for two weeks straight, she was able to fully walk again. The power of chiropractic people!   If you enjoy this conversation with Jordan, please leave a review. Thank you!   Follow Jordan @drjordanburns   CHALLENGE: This week's challenge is inspired by Nuun: drink a gallon of water each day. Hydration is critical for our joints and pretty much all bodily functions. It is crucial! Many of us lack the water intake that is needed. Take the gallon challenge and let's hydrate! Once you embrace this week's challenge, tag @goalinkgroup and @nuunhydration in your posts and stories on social media. We are giving away some free product! Show us how you are staying...

You can hear and feel while listening to this conversation that she has done a ton of personal growth. She has grown right along with her social media following which is now in the hundreds of thousands.    We delve into much more than the typical physical therapy rhetoric. Believe me, she knows her stuff about the physical body, but we go into other aspects that hit home.    She teaches us how breathing can reduce your back pain or headaches. She reveals her own personal health issues and how she overcame them. We discuss what she learned from a negative past relationship and how she is thriving in a beautiful new partnership. She HITS HOME about not putting blame on other people in our relationships, but looking at how we drew that situation to us.    And she just released an app that you need to download!   CHALLENGE: This week’s challenge is inspired by @docjenfit and @themobilitymethod: 7 days of mobility and gratitude. We are joining Jen for her community’s challenge to practice mobility that only takes 10 minutes a day. Let’s be thankful for our bodies and our ability to move! When and How to Remove a Negative Relationship

How do we know when a relationship is no longer positive? Once we're aware that it's negative, what do we do about it?   I didn't know my situation was affecting my negatively until I asked for help.   Welcome to an episode displaying the power of friendship, accountability, and vulnerability. I’m joined by my dudes Andrej, Ted, and Charles. This conversation was inspired by a private discussion we had a week before recording this.   Per usual, I’m using myself as a guinea pig in hopes that it helps you. This is my ultimate accountability tool. Being real and open with all of you pulls the truth and growth out of me. So yes I hope it helps you, but this is also an incredible development tool for myself. I’m grateful that I get to learn with you and with these fine gentlemen joining me. We are going to discuss when and how to remove a negative relationship. Enjoy!   CHALLENGE: Identify a negative relationship and remove it from your life. Tell 3 people and ask them to lovingly hold you accountable.   I am more than happy to be on those people for you. Please message me if you would like my assistance.   There are a few ways you can report back once you complete the challenge. WE LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU! Jessica Sharp: Poverty, Privilege, and Mindfulness

Poverty, privilege, and race. Topics not usually discussed on this show. However, I remain dedicated to engaging in meaningful conversations. This isn’t a discussion arguing conservative, liberal, or any other label’s agenda. We talk about perspective, our experiences regarding these topics, why it’s happening, and what we can do to improve the situation. I encourage you to come in with an open mind (doesn’t mean you agree or disagree with everything). Come in curious and try to learn something new. Let’s do it! Jessica is passionate about empowering underserved communities. She has her Master's in Public Affairs and is currently working on her Doctorate in Psychology. She has lots of experience in the non-profit industry. She works for the YMCA, has her own consulting company, and speaks throughout the community. CHALLENGE: This week's challenge is inspired by Jessica and Sharp Brain Consulting: practice 5 minutes of mindfulness each day. Whether it's meditating, journaling, or 5 quiet minutes, mindfulness helps bring awareness and perspective to our life. Mindfulness helps us make more informed decisions. Instead of reacting out of fear, we can take the direction we wish to with a quiet mind.   There are a few ways you can report back once you complete the challenge. WE LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU! You can post on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter using #goalinkchallenge, tag us in your stories, or use The Goalink Hotline. The hotline is designed for those who want to remain anonymous (or don’t have social media) but still desire a form of accountability. Ryan Alford and Radical

Have you ever wondered how a video goes viral? Like 500 million views viral?   Find out the story behind an insanely viral video with Ryan Alford in this episode. Ryan's company Radical, is much more than a "viral" agency. It's marketing at the speed of now. He believes in producing quantity over quality (while still producing high quality work).   Ryan has worked on major million dollar marketing campaigns and comes with a lot of experience. We discuss do's and don'ts of marketing and much more.   He got a 1.9 GPA his first semester of college and turned out just fine! We have some fun in this interview. Enjoy!   Follow @ryanalford and @radical_results   CHALLENGE: This week’s challenge is inspired by Radical: do ONE thing every day that leads toward a bigger goal. We often get stuck and overwhelmed by looking at this massive mountain of tasks ahead. The best way to overcome this is by focusing on the next step. Don’t focus on steps 5-10 right now, just focus on the first one.   What’s the ONE, just one, important thing to do every day?   <div...

Chelsea Hester: Healing Your Relationship with Food and Body Image

This episode is for anyone who has or had a tempestuous relationship with food. If you’ve ever felt guilty due to food (most of us), this is for you. Chelsea Hester is on a mission to heal people’s relationship with food and our bodies.   Learn about subliminal messaging in marketing and how it could be affecting your body image. Also learn how to respond to people commenting on your weight, what you’re eating, the amount you’re eating, etc.   Are you aware of how marketing and advertising messages influence you?   There’s not many advertisements saying you are great the way you are. Products don’t sell that way. Marketing is mostly based on fear, it’s just how it is. It’s how to grab your attention.   It makes you feel like you are missing something. Even when you’re completely content, marketing finds ways to play with your heart strings as to why you need this new thing. And typically, that means you are not good enough. You are not complete unless you get this thing.   CHALLENGE: This week’s challenge is inspired by Chelsea: locate and snap a photo of marketing images that imply you are not good enough. Advertisements that shame you into buying it. You should be able to find plenty of examples in the grocery store aisles or even driving down the road. Example, the “guilt-free” ice cream Chelsea talked about.   Post a pic and tag @goalinkgroup and @_chelseahester_ with the marketing images you find. Anyone who does this, I repeat anyone. ALL OF YOU. If you post a pic on your story or feed, plus you tag us, Chelsea will do a free 30 minute coaching call with you. Boom! <div class="jwLWP

    Marsha and Soul Yoga

Who is ready for not only a work out, but a work in? Marsha stretches your mind, body, and soul in this week's meaningful conversation.   People keep coming back to her class not just for the yoga, but for her soulful words. Each week she accompanies a theme (e.g. suffer intelligently) with her classes. I’m telling you this is dope! She reads her own written words of inspiration while teaching yoga.   I ask her some hard hitting questions testing her unwavering optimism... listen to find out how she responds!   CHALLENGE: This week’s challenge is inspired by Soul Yoga: we want you to try yoga this week. Whether you’ve never tried, haven’t practiced in a long time, or you’re an avid yogi. THIS WEEK is the week to jump start that yoga practice.   If you’re in Greenville, South Carolina, we have extra incentive for you. We’re doing a giveaway for a 5-class card. That means if you win, you get 5 free classes. That’s legit right?   All you need to do is take a photo of you in a yoga pose and post it to your feed or story. Make sure to tag @goalinkgroup and @soulyogastudio to enter.   Extra points for creativity. All poses welcome whether it’s beginner, intermediate, or expert.

    Quitting My 9-5 Job

If you could do anything in the world, what would it be? If you couldn’t fail, what would you do? If anything was possible, what would your decision be? If you're someone thinking about leaving a 9-5 job right now or in the future, I hope this episode helps you during your own process. It might not even influence you to make a decision to leave. The questions I pose might convince you to stay. And there is nothing wrong with that. Honor your heart and your own journey. I discuss my "why" for leaving my 9-5 job, the entire thought process that I went through, the circumstances I'm in, and the best pieces of advice I received while hunting for answers.   If you have questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Dr. Molly and Matrix Chiropractic

Do you look forward to working until 10:00pm? Are you thrilled to put in stupid hours at your job everyday? Does being overwhelmed with busyness excite you? This might not describe you... YET. My hope is that Molly inspires you to find that thing you can't wait to work tirelessly for. Dr. Molly Spohn of Matrix Chiropractic loves, loves, loves what she does and can't wait to be helping patients all day and hustling paperwork at night. Here are my takeaways from this episode. One, follow your gut and trust the uncertainty. Two, find work that you are obsessed with. Three, what chiropractic is and how it can help us live a vibrant life. Instagram / Facebook / Website CHALLENGE: This week’s challenge is inspired by Matrix Chiropractic: stretch every day. That’s it! Very doable. Stretch for a few minutes each day. I’m sure we’ve all heard why stretching can help our bodies, but did you know stretching and proper posture helps your brain be more effective? Did you know it helps reduce stress? It’s more than just flexibility. <div class="public-DraftStyleDefault-block...

    Steph Purpura and Powerful U

"We do not see things as they are, we see them as we are." - Anais Nin Steph Purpura, co-founder of the world's first personal evolution company joins me on this week's incredible episode. Alongside her husband James Purpura, they founded the company Powerful U. Their mission is to evolve your perception and transform your life. Coming Fall 2019, they are launching a streaming service exclusively for personal development. Steph shares her history of abandonment, an abusive relationship, never feeling like she was good enough, and a brutal suicide attempt. This sounds dark, and it is, but we need to have more discussions surrounding this darkness to help others see the light. Steph describes the immense pain she went through. She also describes her path of healing and practical ways for others to find their way of healing. My hope is that her vulnerability inspires you to find your own healing path. Once you realize that you can CHOOSE your life, then settling will no longer be an option. CHALLENGE: This week’s challenge is inspired by Powerful U: write down what you want. Write down your dreams. 97% of adults do NOT write down their goals. That’s crazy! I encourage you to make a list of what you want in a partner, your life, your job, your family, your health, etc. We need to write down what we want for it to become real. <div class="public-DraftStyleDefault-block...

After spending the entire day with them, I was blown away by their genuine hearts. For real, both of them have such rich spirits. It’s no surprise that their team launched an app with a mission surrounding kindness. I am excited for you to listen to this episode. My big takeaway is micro goals and micro celebrations (around the 1:02:00 mark). I love this idea! It will definitely be implemented into my work routine.   CHALLENGE: This week’s challenge is inspired by KOYA: make someone’s day! Whether it’s once this week or once a day for the entire week, your goal is to make someone’s day. Chelsey and Future Self Journaling

"Everything we think we are on the outside is not really who we are." Welcome Chelsey Ashford, photographer, growth junkie, and agent of love to the show. She asked me to help with her podcast, then we started chatting for a couple hours. We decided to start recording it because there was some good stuff happening! We didn’t know if we would release it, but here it is. Because it’s dope. The theme of this conversation is love, and not just romantic love, But love at the deepest root. For ourselves, for all people, for all things. What we have learned and are learning about 'being' love. When we’re tempted to be hateful or reject someone, to choose love and compassion instead. We also discuss how I’ve been motivated by death lately and what's been testing her ego. It’s quite intense, so come back and listen if you’re not in the mood for a talk about love, the universe, the ego, death, spirituality, and some crazy cool ideas. You should know by now, that I don't release surface level conversations. You better bring your scuba gear when it's Goalink Show time. We're going deep! CHALLENGE: This week's challenge is inspired by Dr. Nicole LePera aka The Holistic Psychologist: do you want to create a new version of yourself? Do you want to self heal? Her coaching strategies involve biohacking, nutrition, exercise, supplementation, meditation, human behavior, and cognitive psychology. AKA the entire human spectrum!   I don't even know how to sum up this interview because you just need to listen to the whole thing. It's that good so dive in! Here are a few key points:   1. We discuss the painful experiences that inspired the path to her current career. Her story is really cool. It’s proof that how in the moment, when we zoom in on the individual segments in time, it’s painful in that moment. But when we zoom out and look at the big picture, those moments are pages to our chapters. Chapters to our entire life story. Puzzle pieces that don’t make any sense by themselves, but beautiful when put together. 2. How to get aligned with your wants, needs, and values which leads to fulfillment. She gives us a practical exercise to get aligned! 3. Why food is the most accessible drug 4. Why cold showers and cold plunges or cold exposure in general is beneficial for stress 5. How our actions (consciously or subconsciously) attract people into our lives to prove our biases 6. Listen to her adventure of launching a new sorority on campus and how that relates to business. - Building her Instagram to make money - Why imperfect action is better than perfect inaction   CHALLENGE: This week’s challenge is inspired by Albion Fit: write and/or say positive affirmations. At least once a day (more if it tickles your fancy to do so) practice positive self talk, affirmations, and manifesting. What do you want? How do you want to feel? Who do you want to be? Claim it. #goalinkchallenge   There are a few ways you can report back once you complete the challenge. You can post on Facebook or Instagram using #goalinkchallenge, tag us in your stories or use The Goalink Hotline. The hotline is designed for those who want to remain anonymous but still desire a form of accountability. To use the hotline call (385) 626-0525 and follow the instructions.

    Doug and The Daily Shifts

A once extremely successful sales leader and trainer, Doug is now a meditation motivator who lives unapologetically. He had the car, money, went to all the sporting events, girls, trips and all the material possessions one could desire. As cliche is it sounds, something was missing. There was a restless void. Listen to Doug’s story with self discovery, meditation, yoga, psychedelics, and launching a mindfulness app.   Whether you want to try psychedelics or not, this is a conversation anyone can benefit from. With meditation, yoga, and other disciplines, we can learn more about ourselves and further this life’s experience. Let’s sit in the silence and listen to the quiet taps on the shoulder.   Each person we are in this life is important to our evolution. We must be different people to appreciate our evolution into our next phase.   CHALLENGE: This week's challenge is inspired by The Daily Shifts: meditate for 3 minutes a day. That's it! Do not judge your meditation practice. Breath and sit in the silence. #goalinkchallenge   We all have traumas. They are valid to our individual experience. Do not compare or judge them.   Look out for his app launching in June 2019 and follow @thedailyshifts on Instagram.

    Digital Detox - Week 2

Welcome to week two of the digital detox, social media fast, Insta cleanse, or whatever you are calling it. We all have different vices so do what feels good for you.   In this episode, I discuss my reflections during week one and the game plan for week two.   Below are some reflective questions I encourage you to answer if you are hesitant to do this cleanse because of an online business.   1. Will a week away from social media affect me in 6 months? 12 months?   2. When was the last time a week away from anything was detrimental to my progress?   3. How can a week or two away help my progress? Can it make me more creative? More clear? Less stressed?   I recommend trying a few days away from your vice(s) to begin. If you don't lose any momentum and you experience more creativity, then go for the full week. If that feels great, then go for complete freedom in week two. Good luck!

    Digital Detox - Week 1

Have you been CRAVING a break from your phone and social media? Join us for a digital detox. Week 1 starts now. Let's do it. Why should I do a digital detox? The average person picks up their phone 150 times a day. That’s once every 6 minutes. Once every 6 minutes! Just how a juice cleanse or a type of fasting is meant to clean up the toxins in your body and release the hold that foods or habits have on your mind, a digital detox is meant to cleanse your brain’s reliance from our devices. Devices are not inherently bad. Technology is a great tool, but we want to loosen the grip that it has on us. Let’s make sure we are using our devices and not the other way around. Take a look at your phone’s settings, the iPhone and Android offer data that measures your screen time. It’s not uncommon to see 2+ hours spent on social media every day. Think of all the experiences you could be having by just cutting that in half. What could you do with an additional hour each day? How long is the detox? The detox lasts for 14 days. You can of course introduce it into your own lifestyle after the two weeks is completed. We think two weeks is enough time for you to realize how beneficial less screen can be. What are the rules? Detoxing means no Instagram, Facebook, Netflix, YouTube, dating apps, etc. It’s best to steer clear of them all. You can still use apps such as Yelp or Google Maps and check your email. It’s not exactly a hard core detox since we can still use our phones during these two weeks. The purpose isn’t to live a life of seclusion, it’s actually the opposite. Social media and other digital services can suck our time away from us and silo us away from the world. This isn’t a digital hate club. This is “let’s take control of our devices" club. Week 1 Alright, y’all. There is no time to waste. Let’s jump in! Your goal this week is to choose ONE day to indulge in social media, Netflix, and YouTube. My day of choice is Sunday. Do not look at any social media, Netflix, or YouTube the other days. I recommend that you journal your reflections during the detox journey. See you in a week! Ideas of how to replace your time Do you need ideas of how to replace your screen time? Here is a list. Take a walk Read a book Go to the park Call a family member Reach out to an old friend Take a scenic drive Book a trip Go on a date Go to the movie theater Go to the gym Try a new workout class Meditate Journal <li...
