Holding On vs Being Held
This is a raw unedited reflection I recorded after coming back from a 3 day retreat this weekend at the lovely Mana Retreat Centre in Coromandel New Zealand.I wanted to capture it as it is so bear with the noise in the first 2 minutes :) Lately, I’ve been sitting with this question…Why is it so hard for us to let go? Not because we don’t want to - but because we don’t understand. We don’t understand why something isn’t working out, why it doesn’t look the way we imagined,or where it fits into our life. And so… we hold it.In this episode, I share what shifted for me - the realisation that maybe letting go isn’t about giving up,but about trusting that we are still held, even when we release our grip. If you’ve been carrying something quietly, this is for you.Cath xoxo To explore a potential restorative bodywork session with me - take a look at the link belowhttps://www.miabelle.co.nz/kobido-facial-massage

Day 6 - 21 Day Mindfulness Inspiration - Release and Receive
I'm going against the part of me that tells me I can't do things out of the box haha! This week I am not sharing a word starting with F, but instead I am jumping to R and writing about the word 'Release' and I'm not just writing about one word but two! The other I think goes in tandem to release, as when we release, it creates the space to receive. Here is Day 6 of my 21 Days of Mindfulness Inspirations. I hope you enjoy this episode!Cath xoxo

Day 5 - 21 Day Mindfulness Inspiration - Ease
At the beginning of each year I intuitively pick 2-3 words that describe my intentions. For 2024 one of the words that I felt drawn to was the word 'Ease' defined as 'The absence of difficulty or effort'.An enquiry into navigating life with an increased sense of calm and relaxation, letting go of unnecessary stress and tension and embracing a more effortless way of living. Some people may call it living with more grace. How do we cultivate more ease into our lives. I invite you to be more curious about this. Allow yourself to explore it and what it feels and looks like for you, if you were to live life with more 'ease'.Tune into the 5th episode of our 21 Day Mindfulness Inspirations. I hope you enjoy listening and taking part in the Mindfulness meditations on each of my episodes. Day 4 - 21 Day Mindfulness Inspiration - Delight
We have reached day 4 of my 21 Day Mindfulness inspirations - amazing! I'm enjoying sharing these reflections with you and my prayer is that these provide you with that space and moment of stillness and contemplation in your busy day and that you come away feeling revived and rejuvenated.Delight - one of my favourite antidotes for a sad or heavy heart. It has the ability to lift you to new heights, cause warmth to radiate from your heart and a smile to form on your lips. It's so important to have tools in our toolbox to empower us to counteract any heaviness, stresses and the pressures that come at us on a daily basis. Our minds can be geared towards looking out for problems or things we identify as wrong because we care or have the desire to fix things. We can honour the fact this can be useful when we need, but not all the time. So training our minds for gratitude, joy, delight and to be still, to pause and to let go is so important for our mental health and well-being.

Day 3 - 21 Day Mindfulness Inspiration - Coming Home
Welcome to Day 3 of my 21 Day Mindfulness inspirations where I choose a word each week to write about and for us to focus and meditate on.Mindfulness is simple but can be challenging to implement. So I'm grateful to be able to share some do-able tools to support your journey. I'm happy you've decided to take a few minutes for yourself, remind yourself that the world can wait, and that investing time into your well-being is so important.Coming Home to Ourselves: Embracing MindfulnessIn the fast-paced world we live in, the idea of "coming home to ourselves" can feel elusive. We're constantly bombarded with information, demands, and distractions that pull us away from our inner peace and self-awareness. However, mindfulness offers a path to reconnect with our true selves, grounding us in the present moment and fostering a sense of inner calm. I invite you to explore with me how mindfulness can help us come home to ourselves daily and provide practical steps to integrate it into our lives.I dedicated one of our perfume oils 'Coming Home' to this experience of mine of coming home to myself. To be given tools on how to cultivate this for me was life changing. I'd spent a good part of my life not being truly connected to my body and myself. I describe it as living life in a fragmented way and you don't quite know yourself. Parts of myself were even shut down and felt numb. This can be trauma related or you have lived and allowed yourself to be pulled in all sorts of different directions, in both your mind, feelings and body. Regardless of our experience - daily life and navigating our life experiences and journeys can be busy and demanding. A practice of coming home to ourselves on a daily basis, is a beautiful mindfulness practice that we can gift our bodies and well-being.

To have confidence in the truth, the existence, or the reliability of something, although without absolute proof that one is right in doing so. Only if one believes in something can one act purposefully.

Mentally exhausted right now? You are not alone. Episode 16
It's so good to be back and recording an episode again and this one is short and shares an important message. You are not alone, take time to fill your cup and don't allow the pressure of the time of year to add more pressure. I've been sensing so much mental exhaustion around me as many people go through many life challenges and even still processing the last few years and with it still ongoing and making it's impact in our lives, it has been a challenge in different ways for all. So I'm wishing you rest, and peace and contentment and a time of refreshing as you head into December, make Christmas the way you want it with the people that you love and cherish and if it's a hard time for you, I am thinking of you and holding space for you today. Finding Joy and living your best life with Sophie K Coaching Episode 15
My guest on the podcast is none other than Sophie from Sophie K Coaching www.sophiek.co.nz is her website. I'm honoured to hold space for Sophie and her infectious energy and love for life and adventure! I hope you enjoy this episode! My name is Sophie K and I am a coach, a mother of two, a lover of adventure and a juggler of many hats. I love my life, my life loves me back. But it wasn’t always this way.I know what it’s like to feel stressed and overwhelmed; almost constantly. Feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day to do everything. Between my professional and personal life there just wasn’t enough time or energy left for me at the end of the day.The result? Life was always hard. My mental and physical health suffered. The people I loved the most ended up getting the worst of me. I felt disempowered in my relationships and my career and just never seemed to manifest what I truly wanted in life.So what changed? I realised the common denominator in all of this was ME. I realized that if I wanted to change my life, I needed to start BEING HONEST WITH MYSELF, follow what brought me joy and take some empowered action towards the life I really wanted. And if I can do this, so can you! So now I have made it my mission to empower others to find their joy zone, confidence and rediscover their love for life by giving them a safe space to explore who they really are and the kind of life they want to create.

Mindful eating with Dani from Nourished You! Episode 13

I love meeting all women from all walks of life, sharing thoughts, stories, dreams, heartaches and humour. I hope you find great value in this episode as I did. Kate's website is www.thebetrayedwife.com and below is a little about what the powerful work she does with women. The Betrayed Wife is a support group for betrayed women recovering from his infidelity. Our community is a place for her to share her story and find encouragement, information and techniques to heal from the wounds of betrayal. I've helped numerous women rebuild healthier and happier lives than ever before. My ideal client is a woman who struggles with the effects of being betrayed and now wants to put the work in to transform her life. I love a challenge and partnering with these amazing women over the long term for optimal success.

Living more from a place of 'being' in 2022
It was important for me to share these thoughts as we begin another year. There is a strong desire in me to live with my purpose and intention more before me in my actions and decision making in business. It is definitely applied in life too but I think to highlight the importance of it in business is important. We can get detached from our why in business and work in the busyness of it all and go into automatic pilot and before you know it we are taking action in our business detached from who we are and our intention. Let's get clarity together on our values, what we truly care about and the difference we want to make in this world around us and if it means a few shifts in in our business and life, so be it. It can only lead to a more enriched and fulfilled life and authentic connection with the people around you.

The value of authentic friendships!
This episode is with my long time friend Vickie Cross and we chat and laugh about life, skincare, self-care, the fatigue from this year, and how we can go into this New Year 2022 with renewed hope and energy. Vickie has been a business owner running successful Nutrimetics business teams for over a decade. Some key nuggets in this episode:1.Self-care is not selfish and regular practice of self-care in our lives is important to help ourselves decompress, especially if you are a sensitive, empathetic person. 2. Skincare is essential and is self-care and has an ability to nourish and nurture our skin and our soul.3. Vickie’s recommendation – John Maxwell who is an author and speaker. Leadership is influence. in order for you to influence others, you must know how to value them, and in order for you to value them, you must first know how to value yourself, because you cannot give what you do not have. 4. We are a role model to the younger generation about what self-love, self-care looks like, even if we are not parents. 5. Make some time to laugh, surround yourself with friends you love to be around and just be completely yourself with.6. Normalize authentic and deeper conversations especially around mental health, loneliness, self-care.7. Creativity has huge potential to flourish during hard times. Creativity is in everyone and is not limited to paints and art. As business people let’s take out our creative toolbox and utilize it more. Don’t forget this year to hold space for yourself, slow down when you need, go at your own pace, you are enough, be your own soft place to fall, know that you are amazing, surround yourself with amazing friendships, it’s ok to put yourself first to value yourself which in turn will allow you to pour value into others. As two people who adore skincare, we encourage you to never stop your skincare practice. Love Cath and Vickie xooxo
